Welcome to the Georgenwirt
Country inn & bar at the Kreischberg
Wiener Schnitzel and pinsa on the same menu, Murauer beer on tap and a garden that looks straight at the mountain. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
Our kitchen
Two kitchens, one menu
Austrian classics and lighter Mediterranean cooking. Both made fresh, with produce from farms we know by name.
The beef comes from young cattle raised in nearby Perchau and from the Salchenegger family farm, the chicken from Carinthia. Next to that sits the pinsa from the oven and farmhouse ribbon pasta with ragout. If you want the Wiener Schnitzel, you get the Wiener Schnitzel. If you want something else, that is there too.
- Austrian classics: schnitzel, cordon bleu, fried chicken salad, Kaiserschmarrn
- Pinsa and pasta, plus changing recommendations
- Murauer beer on tap, wines from Styria and Burgenland
- Vegetarian dishes as proper dishes, not side plates

The garden
Sit outside, look at the mountain
A terrace, a sheltered courtyard and a lawn. When the sun is out, nobody sits indoors by choice.
The courtyard is out of the wind, the terrace faces the Kreischberg. There is a playground right next to it, so children stay in sight and you get to finish your meal.
